Location: Walnut Street (now a skatepark)
Holman Pool on Walnut Street opened in June 1957 and was a mainstay for children in Owosso before it closed in 2009.
Generations of Owosso children took swimming lessons there over more than five decades.
The pool was named for Grove Holman, a beloved teacher and coach at OHS.
Today, the site serves a new generation as a skatepark—a different kind of active recreation, but still bringing young people together.
